D.D. Ward is Writing

Rumor has it that Elon Musk will be banning explicit content on Twitter (yes, he calls it X). If that is the case, it is entirely possible that my own account will be banned. This will, of course, depend on how explicit content is defined, and whether this rule applied retroactively. But my Twitter account might just disappear in the coming months. Other things that would cause me to leave Twitter would be a requirement of government ID by Twitter, or a removal of the free accounts. I am not paying for Twitter. And I am not trusting Twitter with either my financial information or my personal ID.  If that occurs, well I'm on Blue Sky. I'm here. I'm on Live Journal. Yes, really. I'm on Tumblr. I'm not hard to find. Things are changing fast. I don't know how long Twitter will continue to be a viable platform. I am looking into other options, but honestly, I may just forgo social media of that sort. I suspect I can build a better following person to person in any event. That said. I will be here as long as I am active at all. This is where you find me. This is where you reach me.  I am looking into Substack and Medium. But those will contain the same content that I post here. Hello Internet, I've been hard at work on "Daughters of the Digital Empire." It's on it's fourth and possibly final draft. And I will be posting it here (and elsewhere) shortly. It will be posted under a creative commons share alike license. You will be free to write fan fiction. You will be free to use the characters in commercial works. If you like my stuff, consider supporting me. Selling book isn't how writers will make a living in the future, I think. I expect that we are going back to a patronage system, now crowdsourced by technology. I'm not opposed to that. So feel free to become a patron or similar. I appreciate all the support.
